the dying throes of a blogger

"These are the dying throes of a blogger," I thougnt.
"not real death?" A childish sound within cried !
"No, nothing as real as that." I tried to comfort,
but inside, I knew that these words that I was reading,
were another person's departure.

He had to leave,
reluctantly,
unwillingly,
that place where he was at his element,
because when you are a grownup,
you have to get real.

Reality most probably meant
that he could no longer afford
this luxurious way of living
in which one writes
and no one reads.

He was still writing, knowing this,
fighting the change that was coming like
a giant
wave
about to hurtle him into the employment sea,
and march him onward to a mundane death
following a meaningless
life.

"Our Loss," I thought,
wiping an unshed tear,
and sailed on
in the vast ocean
that is the web.

And lest you leave depressed, another moment of your time - have you toured some of the finest dead blogs out there ?

Don't let those warm, yet dead bodies mislead you. The blogosphere is growing still. On every platform, but Wordpress demonstrates it best.
